2000-ton Feed Storage Silo System in Colombia
In 2024, ManXing Machinery successfully delivered a 2000-ton feed storage silo system in Colombia, designed to meet the growing demand for large-scale feed production in the region. The project consisted of four flat-bottom steel silos, each with a storage capacity of 500 tons, specifically built for storing maize, soybean meal, and wheat—key raw materials for poultry and livestock feed.
The silo walls were made of 275 g/m² hot-dip galvanized corrugated steel sheets, ensuring excellent corrosion resistance in Colombia’s humid and rainy climate. Each silo was equipped with advanced aeration fans, temperature and moisture monitoring systems, sweep augers, and ventilation ducts to maintain grain freshness and prevent spoilage.
The system was integrated with a bucket elevator, chain scraper conveyor, and a central control system for automatic grain loading and unloading. With a handling capacity of 80 tons per hour, the silos ensured efficient and continuous raw material supply to the feed processing lines.
The on-site construction was completed within 60 days by ManXing’s professional installation team. During commissioning, the system achieved stable operation, minimizing grain loss and ensuring reliable storage for up to 12 months.
The customer highly appreciated the project for its large capacity, efficient operation, and long service life. The system not only reduced material waste and operational costs but also significantly improved production efficiency for the feed plant.
This project highlights ManXing Machinery’s capability to provide tailor-made grain storage solutions that meet the diverse requirements of feed producers across Latin America.
